Understanding the Account Resolution Process

What happens from the day an account is placed with us to the day it is resolved.

  1. Account Placement

A creditor or authorized client may place an outstanding account with H.A. Mediations for review and collection-related services.

  2. Account Information Review

Our team reviews available account information and determines appropriate communication and handling procedures.

  3. Communication

We contact the account holder using lawful communication methods to provide information and discuss the account.

  4. Resolution Discussion

Depending on the account, creditor authorization, and applicable law, available options may include payment in full, installment arrangements, or a proposed negotiated settlement.

  5. Creditor Approval

Where approval is required, proposed terms are submitted to the authorized creditor or account owner. No settlement is final until accepted and confirmed.

  6. Resolution Documentation

Approved arrangements are documented, payments are processed through authorized channels, and account records are updated.

What Happens if an Account Is Not Resolved?

If an account remains unresolved, the creditor may evaluate additional lawful collection options based on the account's circumstances and applicable law. H.A. Mediations does not guarantee or predict whether a creditor will pursue legal action. Any potential legal proceedings are separate from the voluntary account resolution process.
